The victim, a subject who was over the age of 60 and walked with a cane because of an injury, was battered by a subject described as a male in his 30s with a beard, wearing a black jacket, yellow hat, jeans and sunglasses. The suspect was possibly driving a white 4 door vehicle. Due to the victim’s age and health status, the battery is aggravated. The victim was walking southbound crossing Clearlake Ave when they were struck by a dark color SUV that was traveling eastbound. After striking the pedestrian, the SUV fled the area continuing eastbound on Clearlake. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for multiple injuries including broken bones. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a robbery, aggravated battery and theft that occurred on September 25^th 2022 around 5:30p.m. at Walgreens located at 1310 S 5^th Street in Springfield, IL. A male suspect was seen by employees filling a bag behind the counter with cigarettes. Employees approached the suspect and the suspect then pushed one of the employees who was carrying a cash drawer causing them to drop the drawer and spill money.
