This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about the ongoing theft of checks from mailboxes throughout the Springfield area.  Once stolen the checks are altered and cashed.  Law Enforcement has suggested that businesses should use locking mail boxes or change to automated systems for sending or receiving payments.  Photos of possible suspects from similar past incidents can be viewed on this website, Cashfortips.US.  If you have any information about these thefts or can identify either suspect in the photos, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, or download the P3 app on your mobile device and submit a tip from there.  If your tip leads to an arrest you will receive a cash reward up to 2500 dollars. Crime Stoppers 2020 Year in Review

Armed Robbery to Business

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery to the Circle K gas station, 2700 Stevenson Drive on Sunday, January 3rd at 5:05am.  In this incident a black male suspect enters the store armed with a black handgun and demands money from the clerk.  The suspect was described as light to medium skin tone, 5’10”/150lbs. wearing a dark green winter coat with fur lined hood, black mask, light gray hooded sweatshirt with multi-colored block lettering on the front, light washed blue jeans and tan work boots with dark colored cuffs on top.  He also had a tattoo on the back of his left hand.  The suspect fled south on foot after the robbery.  Photos of the suspect can be viewed on our website, Cashfortips.US.  If you have any information about this Armed Robbery call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427 or submit a tip on this website.  Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards up to $2500 for information resulting in an arrest and remember, we only want your information, not your name!

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery to a Lincoln Yellow Cab driver.  The robbery took place on Thursday, December 24th at 2:08am.  The cab driver picked up a 19-20yr. old dark skinned black male, 5’10”/160lbs. wearing a red skull cap, black jacket and red hat with short hair in the 2200 block of Saratoga and took him to 1831 Pope St. Once there the cab driver said he heard the sound of a handgun being cocked and the black male demanded he give him all of his money.  After the robbery the suspect fled south on foot.  If you have any information about this Armed Robbery call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, Cashfortips.US or download the P3 app on any mobile device and submit a tip from there.  If your tip leads to an arrest you will receive a cash reward up to 2500 dollars. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Unlawful Use of a Weapon incident at The Boulevard Town Homes, 2715 S. Macarthur #69 on Wednesday, December 2nd at 8:40pm.  Security video from the scene shows two black males at the door of the apartment.  One of the males is wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and the outline of a handgun can be seen in his right front pocket.  The second male is wearing a black puffy coat.  They indicated they were there looking for someone.  Law Enforcement is attempting to identify both subjects and needs your help!  A photo of the subjects can be viewed on this website, Cashfortips.US. Catalytic Converter Thefts

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about ongoing thefts of catalytic converters in the Springfield Area.  The thefts span the months of October and November with several incidents taking place over the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend.  Locations of thefts have been auto dealerships, storage units and church lots. Criminal Damage to Property/Shots Fired

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a shots fired incident that took place on Monday, November 30th at 12:43pm in the 2100 block of east Monroe St.  An unknown suspect(s) fired multiple shots which struck 4 residences causing damage to siding, windows and doors.  No persons were struck by gunfire or injured during this incident.  A silver car was seen leaving the area but it is unknown if the vehicle was involved. Law Enforcement needs your help to identify the suspects who fired the shots! This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a Burglary and Shots Fired incident that took place at 1911 E. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a Burglary and Theft that took place at Southwind Park, 4965 S. 2nd St. on Sunday, November 8th at approximately 12:20am.  An unknown suspect(s) entered the maintenance shed and stole a metallic red, gas powered, utility Club Car Turf 2 golf cart.  The golf cart has an aluminum utility bed with an American flag decal on the back and is valued at $7000.00.
