This week Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify two individuals in reference to a felony retail theft that occurred at Family Dollar, 1935 W Monroe, in Springfield.  On July 25^th, 2025, around 8:30 pm two black males, approximately 20 years old, entered the store and purchased two gift cards.  After the transaction was completed with both suspects using the same card to pay, it was discovered the card they used was fraudulent.   One of the black males had long dreads wearing a white T-Shirt and the other was wearing a black shirt and orange shorts.  Both males fled the store heading south.  Images of the individual can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. In this case a thin black male in a red and black jacket about 5’5, approached the victim, pointed a gun and demanded money. The victim fled and in doing so the suspect fired.
